The East Broncos took on the Colleyville Colts Monday night coming away with a clean sweep. The night started with A team who was aggressive from the opening tip. Sid Kanaparthi, Brody Mitchell and James Naughton were the catalyst on defense not allowing Colleyville to get comfortable all night long. With numerous fast break lay-ups off of steals, the Broncos corralled the Colts all night long. The Broncos offense saw Sid chip in 15 points with numerous steals and assists and James Naughton scoring 14 points with 2 huge three pointers. Player of the game is Brody Mitchell who had 24 points, 6 steals, 9 rebounds and 4 assist. The Broncos win in a domination fashion 65-29.
The Broncos basketball season kicked off for the B team last night against the Colleyville Colts. The Broncos played great defense in the first half to keep them in the game despite a rough half of shooting. In the second half, East used their press to get easy steals that led to many baskets. Player of the game goes to Tyler Kim who led the attack in the second half with several made shots and steals. The B team pulled out a 27-16 win.
C team was the nightcap game of the matchup between the Broncos and the Colts. Very similar to B team, the Broncos used awesome defense to really stifle Colleyville all-night long. East had 18 steals throughout the game that gave them many lay-ups in transition. Player of the game goes to Jackson Pope-Hopkins who had 10 points and numerous steals to help the Broncos complete the sweep with a 25-21 win
